Ballet in Four Movements (Senior Project)

Now would be the appropriate time to tell you something I believe about music.  Ready?  This is important.

I believe that without you, music is meaningless.  What is music if no one is listening?

Therefore, I believe music should always be prepared as a gift.

Ballet in Four Movements, is a gift to my family, but I hope you enjoy it, too.

Movement I: Butterflies on a Walk (for Mom)
This movement is about the joyful, graceful little butterflies that greet my mom and I along our mother-daughter walks down a country road in the summer sun.

Movement II: Inspiration (for Sarah)
This movement is about the process of inspiration.  Inspiration begins simply and blossoms into rich complexity.

Movement III: Dawn of Spring (for Dad)
For you, Dad, this movement is about spring run-off and the magnificent beauty of nature’s wonders – subtle as small mountain streams and glorious as roaring waterfalls, small as wandering seeds and great as lush forests.

Movement IV: DubstepSan (for Graham)
What is a ballet without some dubstep and ninjas, after all?
